Will Henry Paulson follow the path of past Goldman CEOs

The NY Times had an interesting article on the prospect of Goldman Sachs CEO Henry Paulson entering the political arena in his next move beyond the venerable confines of Goldman.

"For several decades, senior partners at Goldman Sachs have pursued second careers in politics. Now, Mr. Paulson, the firm's chief executive, must decide if he will continue what has become a Wall Street tradition. As speculation builds in Washington that President Bush will move to replace his Treasury secretary, John W. Snow, Mr. Paulson's name has cropped up as a possible choice."
